French Lick Scenic Railway

Closed when we were their. One are looked real nice, but at the other track looked aittle runed down

Scenic - well - not so much. The highlight was a nice cool tunnel. Otherwise, you were looking at trees and more trees...and the occasional backs of mostly run down properties. (junk cars, equipment that hasn't ran in years, broken down RV's) etc. Lots of old rail ties laying alongside the tracks. That's about it.nnI mean - they try and it's kind of nostalgic to ride some old rail cars, but let's face it - not a whole lot to look at here.

Train ride is about 90 minutes. Going thru the tunnel was neat

Amazing experience the Polar Express. Not only a train ride with the story, but also a show with the elves and Santa. The elves definitely get into character and have lots of fun. Definitely worth the money to spring for the upgraded seating in the dinner car.

Went years ago with grandkids and it was a lot of fun. Sunday Nov.10 took the younger ones that haven’t been. We got there early to get the best seats. First in line. Car “H” stood there for over 30 minutes.. so when we get on the train the elf told us we had to fill up the seats as people got on. So first seats was not the best .family was divided, sat on both sides of the train. That’s not good! Everyone knows there is the best seat side when you get to the North Pole.we made the best of it and all the kids had a fun time. When we got off the train, ran into some friends on a different car.
