Public Elementary School 79

I went to this school it was a learning experience to say the least.

This school has been the worse experience for myself and children EVER. I have dealt with everything you can possibly think of at this school.. IPS transportation is horrible!!!! At least for this school. Really unprofessional. My kids are stuck at school at times with no phone call home to me or my husband. We have to call around and look for them if their not home in a decent time. It’s been times where my children have arrived home an hour later than their original arrival time. Today the children were suppose to start Saturday school. The school sent home no information regarding a bus number. My son chased down two different buses and neither stopped. On a paper that was sent home, it tells you who to contact if there’s any issues. I called that number multiple times and it didn’t even give me an option to leave a voicemail. The telephone just rung! I will not be sending my children to this school next year. This is one hell of an adjustment from Pike Township. This is why IPS gets such a bad rap. It’s ran so unprofessionally. This is just minor issues that I had. I can go on. Unfortunately no matter how hard I tried, I could not get my kids out of this school district.

They are so mean to the kids, the teachers are so strike. One day these little boys wanted to get lunch and they did but right away the teacher came to get them they only took one bite and the little boys were hungry they wanted to take the food with them but the teacher yelled at them and the principal did too. They said dont take the food with you. They even took one last bite and left. That is wrong those poor boys. They should shut down that school. Those teachers and staff is so rude to those kids clam down they are children

Great school the teachers are nice I don't care what people say
