I absolutely love this place. 4 hours spent exploring! I love the creativity, it felt like home. I hope to be able to make it back some day soon!
It's not for everyone, and those who are often overly critical of everything may not enjoy themselves as much.
Meow Wolf is truly an exceptional experience. One enters in the middle of an eccentric puzzle filled story and then has to navigate through the clues to make a sense of the storyline. I spent a day here but that was also not enough to figure out everything. This place is weird in a beautiful way and is worth every penny.
I suggest this place to everyone I know. It’s hands down one of my favorite places in the world. I would definitely try to go during off peak hours to fully allow yourself to be immersed in the experience. The best way to describe it is as an interactive art museum. I easily spent 3 hours there my first visit and have visited a few times since then.
Greeted at the entrance by massive metal statues and food truck chains that you can't seem to remember ever existing, it's clear you're already in for something interesting.
You walk in, pay for a ticket, and are offered Chromadepth glasses for a dollar extra. (always say yes by the way)
Then you enter the art gallery.
Amply named, the House of Eternal Return, which begins to feel like an inter-dimensional playground (as nothing is off limits to touch, play with, and observe) in its many winding paths and tunnels, always seems to strangely lead back to where you started.
The attention to detail is amazing, it's very clear that many artists worked many hard hours to make this indescribable pocket dimension a reality. Passing by this incredible work of art while in Santa Fe is mistake.
The coolest place in the southwest! I absolutely adored Meow Wolf. I was there 4 hours and those 4 hours completely flew by as there is so much to do and SO much to see! Unique, visually stimulating, and a super fun environment to be in. Everything was a thing to marvel at. Even the walls on your way to the bathroom are super cool!!! Can't wait to check out their Denver & Las Vegas locations as soon as they open. These artists are truly special. Check out the art vending machine to buy local art. Also check out the gift shop.
