Patoka Lake Nature Center

This place is amazing so many great trails and activities to do, bathrooms are great, all staff were friendly, large area to roam. lots of places to visit, French lick is close by, can't go wrong with this place campsites were spaced out just enough. Cant wait to go back and spend more than a day in a half there so much more to explore.

Love this State Park and plan to come back when we can stay longer. Large beach area (including a nice changing facility), plenty of picnic tables, interesting Nature Center, and beautiful walking and bike trails. Learn about the Explore Program and State Park pins. It can enhance your park experience. Hope you find this park as fun as we did!

I bet the nature center was actually a five star place, but it doesn't open until 11:30, so I didn't get to see inside. The garden and the trails are a lot of fun, so it's well worth the trip. And... We went all the way down and around and walked on the beach too. Bonus!!!

We went here our grandson to see the birds of prey exhibit but due to being short staffed they didn't have the birds out for public viewing. It's still very informative though. Wife and grandson both loved the 8-10 hummingbirds that were flying around the feeder by the front door.
