Sellersburg Police Department

Very unprofessional department. A few months ago I went in to report being held at knifepoint with a group of my friends by the pool. The police were extremely disrespectful to both me and my friend. I was accused of having a bag of cannabis in my car. Since they didn’t have their own narcotics canine, they called one in from Jeffersonville and the dog “indicated” to my car. I was essentially forced into letting them search my belongings. They found nothing, of course, and the process took roughly 2.5 - 3 hours. Definitely would not recommend reporting a crime here.
