My sons comes find family in Louisiana his father was a policeman for over 22 yr in military and state police of LA. For I’ve 12 yrs My son is a preacher. Their home was broken into his animal were taken the Policmen there try to tell there wasn’t any they could That the dogs broke the windows got out. These window were double pane windows these dogs couldn’t care things out the house like Furniture Open closet doors take the clothes out of containers and pour them on the floor open cabinet and take medicine I think they should’ve done an investigation maybe even checked at the neighbors instead of accusing my children are doing this himself shame on the police department in Charlestown Indiana
Every interaction I’ve had with an employee of the department has been professional and kind. Once I was even stuck on the side of the road in the middle of the night with a flat tire. I didn’t know how to change a tire at the time and an officer had seen my car pulled over and stopped to ask if I was okay. He changed my tire for me and was so helpful. I don’t know what I would have done without him, wish I had gotten his name.
Sgt Bertram is willing to lay down his life for our safety. Nothing but the best from our protecters in blue.
Every experience I've had with CHPD has exceeded my expectations. From returning a wallet I hadn't even known was lost yet, to taking the time to answer even the smallest of questions on social media. CHPD stepped up to assist in creating the current block watch, and has repeatedly shown active community involvement. Thank you for all you do to serve and protect CHPD.
