Scott Court Apartments

Scott Court Apartments are practical, well priced apartments, that give you a great place to live. The area that the apartments sit in is perfect for quiet living. They are walking distance away from Ridgefield Park center or from the movie theater across 95. The entrance to the highway connectors are close too, and you can get directly into NYC with just a 20 minute drive. It's right next to the I-95 highway, but the beautiful and high sound walls built years ago create almost a hidden valley of calm. You can't hear the cars, and all you have around you are friendly residential houses. The parking is safe tucked away behind high walls, and the area is wonderful to walk around. The apartments are older, but the wood floors are beautiful, and the staff is friendly. My one bedroom was home for a year, and now that I am moving away for a job in another state, I'm sad that I'm leaving a good home behind.nnMake friends with your neighbors, be courteous to the staff, and you will never have any problems here.

Peter and the team at Scott Court Apartments have always been very respectful and courteous to my Mother, who has been a resident there for nearly 40 years. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone seeking a new residency.

I lived here for 2 1/2 years in a 2 bedroom apt. I will be fair with my assessment and share my opinion. I will start with the PROS: Location...central to all major hwys. Good size apartment. Plenty of closet space. Community is peaceful and located near sports fields. Super is very helpful and on site. CONS: We lived on the lower level apartment and our apartment was electric heat...$$$. Electricity bill was higher than my bill for my new house. Window were very old and heat was lost at all of them. Being on the ground floor also meant that the floors were freezing cold too! Regardless of all the rugs I placed. Poorly insulated apartment. I used space heaters all winter. Paper thin walls where we were able to hear owner scolding his employees like children(unprofessional). Be careful when snow season comes around...clean up is mediocre at best. Snow is supposed to be cleaned throughout the storm, not just when the storm subsides. And patches of ice should not be all over the complex overnight into the next day. Management states there is laundry machines on site, but none of them properly work. We ended up driving to an off site after 2 months. Since our arrival, we found that ownership was looking to capitalize on any way to up charge for residency. Last but not least, we were hit with a lease break fee of $2400.00!!! Management is unwavering and non realistic when it comes to the lease. It is impossible to purchase a home at exactly the end of your lease!! They did not care. Like I said before, this is my factual experience. My estimation was that this management would cut corners everywhere in order to save every penny. You make your own choice. But I would not refer any of my friends or family here.

Dont be fooled by the large apartment. The owners are thieves. I left the apt better than when I moved in. I put in for problems and they never fixed. Then they charge it to my deposit. The place has an incect problem. Roaches, mothes, some other flying incets and rats aswell. The laundry is broken most of the time and is always moldy. The only decent person to deal with is the maintace guy Mike but the owners/super are the worse. Would have been an ok place to live if you didn't have to deal with Sargis or Peter.

Please don't not rent from here!!! No joke! There is no heat in the winter. Even tho they said it's on. They turn it off in March ( it's still cold in March). The snow removal is the worst! They wait till the storm is over and will call you to move your car or it will be towed. How can I move my car when I'm stuck in snow!!! The black ice is also a problem. I fell muilple times. The shower pressure is the WORST! If you want to take a quick shower, good luck with that. It would take me 20 min just to get the shampoo out of my hair! We lived on the 3rd floor so if anyone under us would use the toilet or water, your shower water would be bloody hot the whole time. You can't just jump in or out. Laundry on site is always broken or you would go get your laundry and it would be full of water and I would have to restart it over and over again. Never got any of my money back from that. Every other day their would be a note on the door for water shut off. No joke! Every other day!!! Fix it right the first time!!! I just don't understand it! We paid for a 2nd parking spot. We got a temp tag and I'm not kidding. I watched it with my own eyes. Peter would come in his Audi at 12 am on the dot. Go to each car with a flash light and look for the tags. Call the tow truck company and tow the cars. One night he towed 8 cars! Which is NOT cool! I got so upset with this that I was getting ready to go downstairs and flip out on him cause he towed a brand new BMW which he Knew The girl just bought it and tags were fine. Not expired. But my bf stopped me. He even towed a old lady car who lived here for over 10 years! A old lady peter!!!! Shame on you!!! Really!!! Your a cold hearted evil man. Shame on you!!!!! The super Mike and the old man are really nice. Mike helped me out a few times and even helped me with my flat tire. It's Peter who is nasty and evil. You will loose everyone because of your son. He needs a woman in his life. Thinks he is better than everyone. Just horrible! Want your security back?? Yeah ok.... They find every excuse to keep it. I have a video for PROOF that I left that apartment in better shape then I moved into and they took my money saying the walls look like water drip down on them. What!!!! Just a bs line. Take the money, I have my video. Karma will come back to you and bite you where it hurts. Please this is not a joke! Don't rent from here it's just a head ach and you can't sleep at night because your scared your car gunna be towed. Just do your research and find your perfect apartment. This is not it!!!!
