Santa Fe Police Department

Local officers seem to not care about anything unless somebody is dead or dying and maybe not even then do they try and help the citizens; although it is their job to protect and defend they do no such thing. I have never had a pleasant experience with any situation where I have had to call the officers it’s always “we are far too busy” “it will take about 30-45minutes for officers to HEAD your way” we need better service more commitment

Dispatch gave us the wrong information and the police NEVER came out. What a waste of time. It is really hard to see the good in people or government when the people that are supposed to be helping you pull things like this. What a shame.

A squad car heading north on Agua Fria swerved into my lane trying to pass on a blind curve and ran me into a curb today. He did not stop. 1/5 stars, not very cash money Santa Fe PD.

Good luck calling 428-3710, supposedly Sante Fe Police Dept. They are so badly in need of training!!

This review is actually more between two and three stars, but there doesn't appear to be a button for that. I tried to report a hit and run that had happened several hours before (I didn't realize at that time that I was hearing a truck smashing into the back of my neighbor's car). They said the owners had to file a report online. I'm glad that option is there, but it is deeply impersonal, and I believe many more details are probably not addressed on a form of this kind. I hope they follow up with questions from real officers. I understand the force is probably overwhelmed with the calls that come in, but this seems dismissive. I hope they and my neighbor are able to resolve this, and catch the person responsible (who, I suspect, was drunk behind the wheel).
