Clifton Police Department

Clifton police respond to emergencies quickly. Seem you finish your call and you will hear the sirens on the way. No issues here, just wish they would get paid better to retain a few newbie officers to grow into the job. Do you have any idea how dangerous this job is for even decent pay? People, their all that stands between us and anarchy. Some of you simply don’t understand. They are called upon at accidents, fires, death scenes, domestic violence where nobody wants your presence, except the neighbors, they are the first responders for robbery’s in the cold or poring rain at your business or home, police are called upon to work holidays, nights and weekends and can be made a victim while sitting in their patrol vehicle, or even directing traffic at anytime, Also responding and Set up for an ambush. Wake up. Next time it’s 2am and your in bed and hear your front door knob jiggle go down and field it your self.

Neighbor cross street turn up the music from his car all away up disturbing the whole block. He just sits in the car doing nothing. ALL THE TIME. I called the police lot of times while this was happening and they said they will send a patrol. NEVER DID.nSo to make this clear:nI pay taxes so the neighbor can get unemployment money to buy speakers and disturb my peace, and I also pay taxes so police can get paid while eating donuts and drinking coffee doing nothing else...

Coming from a family in policing I have the utmost respect for law enforcement however having two encounters with the Clifton Police has been a nightmare. In both instances they were rude and didn’t even look me in the eye. It’s a terrifying feeling to know that racism actually exists in policing and physically experienced first hand. What is even more terrifying is that my husband is a law enforcement offer and CLIFTON police are the prime example of the Kind of law enforcement that put his life at risk.

Had a horrible experience with customers and staff at Shannon Rose . I was discriminated and threatened with physical harm. Surprised the staff don’t wear brown shirts . Clifton PD came and helped rectify situation and made me feel safe , secure and protected . Thank you to your police force for being so kind and helpful. Antisemitism doesn’t belong in the USA or NJ . I stand with NJ . I stand with America . I stand with Israel . Thank you Clifton PD. Owners of Shannon Rose should do holocaust education training for their employees .

Ladies were polite. Building is very old though.
