NYPD 19th Precinct

My experience is extremely negative, after calling 311 for months, two Officershipncontacted me, by email. I wrote detailed emails in response.nI was told they would address it a few times. Never happened.nnIndiscovered they blocked my emails, I assume so there would not be a record of their inaction.

in my experience this precinct is wonderful and most professional. they consistently helped me deal with a domestic situation until i was able to get an order of protection. i have recognized officers in the neighborhood. new york city is really a small town when you consider individual neighborhoods.nni just looked and i see that there are some bad reviews.nnmight i suggest:nif you need their help - grab a book to read and go sit in the lobby and wait until someone is available who can help you. you can file your reports there. i spent time waiting for assistance and did not mind at all. in my mind - their time is more important than mine... they are shuffling priorities.nnwho am i to demand priority?n- this is a police team after all. sometimes shifts changed. my friends and i once waited an hour so we could get a team to escort me to my apartment. i was in a situation where i could not go to my own apartment without police officers because a “friend” had claimed tenant rights and refused to leave. i was gone. but the police helped me each time i needed to visit home or confront him, including serving papers...nnonce my case was documented- they considerately helped in all i asked.

3+ hour wait after calling 911. Cop car passed by and didn't stop even though we flagged it (but did stop at the nearest street light!). Totally ignored us. Didn't get the name of one of the older men at the front desk but he was dismissing everyone who came in with a complaint, claiming they're lying.nBottom line is, if something happens, don't let them dismiss you. If the first person won't let you submit a report, get someone else. Always get a second opinion. These people are not above lying. You have to look up all the rules yourself to check and make sure you're not being re-victimized because of their laziness.

Best Precinct Ever because my sister Officer Murray is an NCO.

Great staff and police officers there who treat you with respect! Much better than some of the other precincts I've had interactions with.
