Flooring Installation: As a rule, this is our favorite location to work with, but after the last couple of weeks, I am pretty much done with HD. Two and half weeks ago, we called to get an appointment for measuring and estimate to have laminate flooring installed in two rooms and a hallway. We were told that someone would call us back in a couple of days to make the appointment. No one called. We called and got the appointment made. No one showed up on the day of the appointment. We called and were told they would need to reschedule due to air quality issues. Understandable, but it would have been nice to get a call telling us that. Rescheduled date, no show, no call. We called again, same as before. Rescheduled. Someone finally showed up and measured, saying we should expect a call within 48 hours with an estimate. No one called. We called and were told that we could not get an estimate because of our stairs. We reminded them that the stairs were not part of the equation, this was discussed on the first phone call and in home visit. They said they would call back with the estimate again. Two days letter, a phone message is left saying they could not give an estimate because of the stairs. At this point, I am completely done with this situation. Extremely disappointing experience. I called and said to forget it and asked for a refund on the measuring fee. Initially I was told no. After several minutes of discussion, a refund was processed. This was a truly awful experience. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

It is a big box hardware store, has all the usual suspects, top 40 materials. Even has screws that work better than the competitors. If you need specialized equipment, highest quality tools, our other special items, you will probably have to look elsewhere. When I buy from locally owned competitors I find the prices equal out so there is little need I have to go there.
