The oldest house in Pennsylvania still standing, but by William Penn's business partner. One of the oldest known places where Penn frequently visited and slept. It could use it help maintaining and continuing restoration.
A great historical landmark!
Although small, this site is a foundation stone of colonial Pennsylvania's industrial development. The connections with William Penn and the Society of Free Traders add to the wonderful storytelling at home.
Informative tour. Beautiful grounds. Must see for history buffs
when they have the tours it's really something to see, they open the house as well as the school. I have only ever experienced the 2nd house once but it's neat as well. They do have souvenirs in the school part at a gift shop old time toys ect.
