Museum of American Glass

The centerpiece of the WheatonArts crafts village is the Museum of American Glass, set in a museum building, created in the early '70s to fit in with the surviving old-time buildings and other antiquey structures around the campus. The museum houses an extensive collection of glass and accompanying hardware to take you through the history of glass in America, while simultaneously celebrating the possibilities of glass works.

Very interesting. We watched glass blowers make glasses and bowls. Thinking we'd like to take a class here. Also saw glass working and pot throwing. The museum was well worth the time and the stores offered quality goods.

Amazing collection of all different types of glass. Located at Wheaton Arts Village. Lots to look at. Also watched the glass artisans crafting a glass cornucopia.

Fascinating place! Great wide-ranging collection of glassware. Tour docent was good. Nice gift shop with an excellent selection of items at a range of prices. Great glass-blowing demonstration. Wish we'd had time to visit the other workshops on site (pottery making . . .). Give them a nice donation when you visit.
