Cohanzick Zoo

My grandsons love going to this zoo just as much as their father did when he was their age. It's a nice small zoo with a nice variety of animals. The zookeeper took the time to talk with my grandson and educate him on the hawks we were looking at as she was cleaning the enclosure. There is information signage explaining the animals habitats in their natural environment as well as characteristics for each animal which provides an educational opportunity as it encourages beginner readers to practice their reading skills. Highly recommend a trip to this zoo for those with small children as it's not too large and easy for small children to complete a trip without the need for a stroller.

I like the zoo , but here are my pros and cons .nPros - free) donations. Local . Just big enough to enjoy. Decent variety of animals. Somewhat clean .nCons- most animals are hiding or not there . Masks in open air is really not necessary. The one way walking is a little annoying. Doesn't seem like they have had an update for awhile .

Just a fun hour trip through. Super simple, donation at the box. Worth it if you are in the area. Not worth driving hours just for it.

Really cool little zoo. We just discovered it last weekend. They are focused on social distancing, and its a very nice way to spend some time. And, there is a nice walking path outside the zoo (not long, but something to do in covid)
