I prefer VHR over the large chain stores for a few reasons. There's always someone knowledgeable willing to help at VHR. Good luck finding someone at those other stores and 9/10 they have no clue what their talking about. I can't remember the last time I went in to VHR and they didn't have what I needed. It's like they know exactly what everyone needs and don't just throw everything together at the end of an isle to get you to buy stuff you don't need. The only thing I wish VHR had was lumber but they don't have the space and the rental options make up for that. I'd also much rather give my money to a local business owner than the corporate giants. VHR has my business for life.
