Garden State Discovery Museum

We are definitely looking forward to these guys opening back up again, the grandkids really miss you guys

So I get the family pass right before covid hits go there one time for not even 30 mins because the place was completely a mess because there were a bunch of school trips. I ask for a refund since I paid 150$ or w.e for a family pass for a year that I didn’t even use for over 30 mins and now I’m being ignored was told months ago when I asked for a refund to give it some time because they might open and that was 2/3 months ago. Trust me after covid I don’t plan on taking my kids to a place like this any time soon.. kinda bs I ordered my tickets online picked them up did a lap around the place looked at everything n left Smfh 150$ bs

I have taken my daughter to a ton of places over the past year and a half and this one did not impress me at all. The whole concept is great, but we got there maybe 2-3 hours after it opened and the place was trashed. No staff in site to pick up the exhibits after kids, 90% of the props were missing or misplaced. I understand the parents and kids are suppose to help out which I tried along with my daughter, but the attempt was futile, since it seemed like we were the only ones. By the time we found what what was suppose to go in the exhibit and put it back the excitement was gone. We walked into the little pizza shop and it was like a pizza bomb and been dropped. All the pizza toppings, pies, plates, everything all over the floor. We spend 5 minutes putting enough back just to spend 3 minutes making a fake pizza.nThe only high point was the lady working the toy shop. Super nice and showed us somethings I had missed browsing around. I like the choices in the little eatery as well. That was a nice selection of quick meals. Especially for toddlers.

We always have a fantastic time here. Wonderful museum to take the children. They find new and different things to do each visit.
