Terrible historical background, recommended this place to some of my students at Mainland and they liked it. However, it was supposed to be a joke because of how much I hate this place. Doesn't cater to Spanish speaking natives, or bilinguals. Also, smells like wood; not the good kind like cedar or oak, very birch tree like. A local historical museum that is a jewel under our feet. There's lots of history both about the building and within it. They also have a separate Maritime museum at the Linwood Library which yes, is another under rated place to visit. If you're in the area, stop by. You wont regret it and perhaps may even be better for it. If you cant stop by at least look at their 360° virtual tour on Google.
Went in there on a school trip when I was a kid. Cool to learn about the place you live and see historical items.
