Long Beach Island Historical

A unique experience and fun activity if you are in a near by hotel and get a little bored of the beach.

This is an alright museum but they charge for entry (5 dollars per adult, Max 15 dollar charge) and the exhibits cover the lives and how the town was in the previous years. However, there are others museums that are cheaper/free in the area that are worth exploring before coming here. The caretakers here are nice people nonetheless but the exhibits themselves could use a little more engagement.

Don’t miss the scavenger hunt! My 6 year old daughter and I had a blast doing it together. It also ensured we didn’t skip anything in this adorable museum. We both loved stepping back in time.

It is a wonderful place to learn about the people and places of the past on Long Beach Island.

A great place to learn about the history and stories of the area. Filled with items that link to days gone by, the first visitors the Lenape tribes, the first settlers, pirates, clammers, hotels etc. are all represented here. And nothing better than a visit at Christmas for the community singalong and tree Lighting in the park.
