Joplin police are brave men and women who go ut there every single day 24/7. 365!nRegardless of the current situations. To do one thing help keep our community safe. I for one think they do an amazing job! We should all count our blessings that in this country we have men and women who are Fathers , sons, brothers,Uncle’s and Grandfathers,nMother’s sister daughters aunt’s and grandmothersnthat are willing to go out everyday to protect and serve our community! Sure as with all of us some may shine brighter than others but that’s what makes this great nation! So when you Call for help remember they are there to help you no matter what.nLet them know that they matter because Not everyone would be willing to trade places with them. But everyone wants them to fix their problems!nThank you Joplin police. Stay safe and God Bless you all!

“5180” is who I spoke with this evening on the non emergency line. She refused to give her name. We called to complain about being refused service at a turtleheads in Joplin because we had a service dog with us. My friend has the dog for his PTSD disability, which is covered under ADA guidelines. The dispatcher I spoke with clearly doesn’t know the service dog laws as she told us that we were wrong and that the dog isn’t a service dog over the phone! I told her that we train service dogs for other veterans so we are VERY familiar with the ADA service dog laws. She told us she could see why the owner of the restaurant refused service to us and then refused to give her name. I hope that this police department does some further training on the laws of service dogs because this was unacceptable. I’m disgusted in how this was handled and hope it doesn’t happen to other people with similar disabilities.

Called hours ago of my son being threatend by a 40+ year old man while my son was riding his bike on the apartment complex parking lot Wich is small btw. They must never showed and the guy even chased Shaun and to stay off his property who is not an owner of the apartments in any way just rents the bottom apartment as a tenant. I'm sick of this! The cops are becoming a joke!

See pictures. They refuse to enforce lockdown rules on churches, while you can't get a haircut. Despite pressure from numerous calls, the Joplin health department, the state health department, and local media inquiries.
