Captivating museum just off 56 in Elkhart KS. Fantastic journey through the formative years of SW Kansas and the rugged people who sought to thrive in this land, struggled through Dust Bowl days, served in America's wars, and established a productive agricultural region today. Also visit Cimarron National Grasslands while in Elkhart and learn about the historic Santa Fe Trail.
Kids had fun looking at all the neat things, playing outside on the caboose and merry go round. But the best thing if all was the ice cream and floats.
This little town was such a delight to visit Rodney and Ashley Johnson showed us all around Morton County Medical Clinic we were very impressed.... we went to the Museum, boutique, grasslands, and the 3 corner state marker... and all around the town...
I would recommend the stop. Everyone will love it. ud83eudd17
