Beautiful stop on our vacation, sadly they were closed due to COVID. We called ahead and the outgoing message said they were open. We were still able to walk the grounds and have a picnic on one of the many picnic tables. This is really a cool stop on your trip.

Very interesting. Visitor center was closed for virus, but can still walk path from visitor center to actual Pony Express Station. Placards along walk explain various items

One of the most unaltered Pony Express Stations still left on it's original site. White wash is still used on the walls in the buildings here to keep it as historically accurate as possible. Amazing!

Lots of history here. It's a well preserved part of both Oregon and Pony Express trail history. Nice picnic area.

Very cool. I was there when it was it closed but still an interesting experience. You can step back in time into a different era. The fact that the building is at it's original location along the Oregon Trail makes it more facinating.
