Let's just start out with the truth.. Jeff Lange & his team at Equisset are a bit shady when doing business with people losing their homes to the bank. The program is supposed to be a way to save your home by allowing Equisset to buy the house from your home lender. Then leasing you your home back from Equisset for up to 1 year under contract. Allowing you up to 12 months to get a new loan for your home or find a buyer willing to make a contract offer to Equisset to buy the house and any profit made by the sale of the house would be paid to you at the day of closing. All terms and costs are under contract from the very beginning between you & Equisset. I had contacted Jeff Lange directly and he assured me that Eric his business manager at Equisset would be in contact with me and work out the details. I informed Eric, Jeff & Equisset I had a qualified buyer, under contract with a closing date scheduled prior to the bank foreclosed. Make a long story a bit shorter, our bank foreclosed and Jeff Lange & Equisset bought the house from our bank. Jeff & Eric at Equisset received full details and a copy of the signed offer & contact with the qualified buyers. They knew 100% the buyers wanted to buy our home. The buyers wanted a list of repairs to be made by me and paid for by me and I made it clear to Jeff, Eric & Equisset that I would lease my home from them, pay for the repairs the buyers wanted and have the buyers and house ready to sell& close within 90 to 120 days. My emails & calls were ignored. Jeff & Equisset ended up not leasing me my home. They contacted the buyers directly and sold the home directly to the buyers, cutting out me and all profits I could of made off the sale of the house. Now the buyers have contacted me asking for additional information about the house and the 2 years and thousands of dollars in updates & repairs I made to the house after my parents deaths. We lived in the house since 1975 and I personally know the house like the back of my hand. Years of taking care of my elderly parents prior to their deaths and years of remodeling our old family home as we could afford to. Unfortunately my parents had no will and it was a rough 2 years getting the house in my name & ready to sell. I trusted Jeff Lange because our family knew him for over 30 years. Just watch yourself better than I did and get a lawyer involved. I would never trust Jeff Lange, Eric or Equisset and all the other Lange Family for Companies without having a lawyer involved. I learned the hard way. * 1 Star for lack of honesty & crappie way of doing business with a home owner who had already suffered enough with the loss of my parents & family home.. I have all the emails & documents to back up my statement listed above. Happy to share them to prove I am telling the truth.
