I had an AMAZING experience with Kent, the owner! I called last minute and he got me right in same day in a Saturday. Our morning was full of conversation and I felt truly valued as a client. He gave me and my crazy amount of hair the time it needed to result in the perfect cut I was looking for! I have lots of frizz in my hair and he took time to explain the best ways for me to control it and taught me how to bring out my natural curls. I have never seen my curls looking this great. Kent was genuine, friendly, and a professional. Will be going back for sure!

Read many reviews of manhattan salons before choosing this one for my cut and color. The reviews were 100% right, Kent the owner is an absolute gem.nI was a little worried at first bc I had gone in wanting a bayalage, but he steered me away from that in a professional way based on everything else I said I wanted (not wanting my hair to turn Orange again in a couple months, healthier, color matching more of my true hair color with dimension). I have never been so satisfied with a cut and color in the past 5 years!! He got EXACTLY what I wanted, and he cut my hair exactly the way I wanted (I’m super picky, I never like my haircuts). Definitely go and support this small business! Kent is also just a stand up guy in general, it was a pleasure getting to know him during my appointment.

I love this place. This is my favorite salon in Kansas. My hair always looks great (cuts and color!) The owner is very polite and always in a great mood. The salon is clean and stylish. Highly recommend!

The owner Kent is fantastic. He’s been giving me cuts and blonde balayage dyes for a couple years now. Every time I am so happy with the results. Would certainly recommend him!

I highly recommend this salon. I had a wonderful personalized experience. I had Kent cut my hair and he did a fantastic job. He took my comments about my hair seriously and worked with me to make sure that I got a haircut that I love. I have curly hair and I have been burned by stylists in the past who don't know how to cut curly hair. I needed to find a new salon because the one that I went to that didn't mess up my hair the one time I went is now closed in Kansas City so I began looking around Manhattan. I was not disappointed with the reviews that this salon has and the experience I received. I cannot recommend Hair Shapers enough.
