This is an AWESOME place to visit! I really enjoy coming here, because it is fairly inexpensive but it has so much history that is just fascinating to look at. There are plentiful things on each floor, and you can spend quite a bit of time there just looking around. The only problem that I have is that there are not enough places to sit, and as I am older and disabled, it makes it difficult for me to go and see everything. If you have any spare time, you really need to come and see this place!
Great history. As well the guy that walks around and greets you is a very nice man.
Not a big place but it was good.
All your hometown history! Hands on exhibits, military history, hometown & women's history, flood exhibit, native american history all for free. Cute gift shop. I had the privilege of meeting the gentleman who made the wooden figurines throughout the museum as he was carving more, simply delightful. These folks take pride in their history and displays.
We went for their anual chili feed and bingo night. While we waited for everything to get started we walked around the museum. They have some neat stuff in there. The chili was good, like usual. They even had 2 different kinds this year. If you didn't want chili, you could get chicken noodle soup. Bingo was fun. There was a lot of prizes donated by different establishments throughout the community. Great family friendly night. Everyone that works there is very nice as well. I look forward to going again next time.
