As public servants you are not allowed to use force against citizens who have not harmed another person or committed a crime, traffic citation are not crimes. Crimes require victims. Refusing a traffic citation doesn't produce a victim. If there is no victimized party you need to go back to your car and sit down. Thanks to those of you that understand the difference and realize forcing that man to accept a citation for exercising a freedom that the constitution specifically forbids the government from regulating isn't worth anyone's time or life.

First time getting asked to put my hands above my head by a bunch of armed men, but they were nice about it. They were looking for someone with a gun that had assaulted another person. It wasn't us, but we fit the description. They were not needlessly aggressive, but cautious and level headed. The cop getting my info even made me laugh after it was clear we hadn't done anything. There's a first time for everything, but these guys did a good job.

I want to thank the city of Lawrence Police. They went the extra mile to be there for my family during through and after a near fatal tragedy. They were efficient and caring and professional throughout the entire experience. Some of the officers said they'd had training for crisis situations, and helped me through shock and grief when I didn't know if my loved one would survive such a tragic accident or not. They did everything they could to help and I will always be grateful.

The system has felled our community and they only work together for people they know even if they are in the wrong. All they want is control not facts that can be proven to the court. Most of these people took this line of work to take control not help society. Amber Rhoden a Lawrence mental health police officer threatened me, and harassed me, in front of my nine-year-old son.
