A great place to learn about the local history and hear first and second hand accounts. I can't wait to go back!

This little museum might be small but it is so full of local history about the Wakarusa Valley settlers who played an integral role in the Kansas abolitionist movement and the underground railroad in the 1800's. It also captures the impact the descendants made through education, religion, work ethic, community growth and entertainment throughout the early to mid-1900's. I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to see a glimpse into rural community life and history.

Beautiful setting for this quaint little museum; a nice little glimpse into life before Clinton Lake came into being.
