Karen is the owner and operator of this salon and has been doing hair for 60 years. She's very friendly, and knows what she's doing! She's in the shop on Friday morning to do her regular customers, and walk-ins are welcome at that time, you'll just have to wait your turn. Other than that, she's open by appointment only. (Please don't knock on her back door to schedule an appointment, you need to call ahead of time.)nnFriday mornings in her shop is like stepping back in time to when ladies gathered at a beauty parlor and socialized. They always have coffee, water, cookies, and fun conversations. Her daughters and granddaughters enjoy sitting in on this time, and often schedule trips home to include a Friday morning.nnKaren takes appointments for prom and wedding dos, and can accommodate up to six wedding party members. She also has someone she brings in to do makeup and foot detoxes - these need to be scheduled at least a week in advance.
