Liberty Elementary School

Five of my children attended Liberty and we have had a great experience over the last ten years.nnThe teachers are very involved starting from the principal, who takes the time to talk to students individually about their conduct when necessary. One of the kindergarten teachers even sent a letter during the summer to our daughter. It made her so happy.nnThe school focuses on discipline and responsibility. From day one the children understand that their job is school and their teacher is the boss. This is supported by daily markings in their Green Book, which parents sign every day. The Green Book measures how well they behave by having a green mark for good behavior, yellow for questionable, and red for unacceptable. Students who need help are paired with a student that is doing well and receive support from their teachers, counselors, and the principal. At the end of the month, the school has a green party to encourage positive behavior and works with other students to better themselves.nnMore schools should adopt this method. Teaching proper behavior and accountability is essential to success. The school also sponsors parenting classes with babysitting services.nnThe administration is responsive to parent concerns and is respectful of different cultural practices.nnWe highly recommend Liberty!
