Located right next to the city park and campground. It has several buildings including a well-preserved one-room schoolhouse, a farmhouse, a machinery shed with functional belt-driven machining equipment, a train depot, a caboose, and a well-preserved small church. There’s also a great collection of military uniforms and a small, but well-maintained, collection of locally taxidermied birds. Many types of presses, typewriters, telephone equipment, postal equipment, and farm machinery— great old technology. Also great sets of old maps, newspapers, etc. Volunteers are happy to show you around. Only open Sundays 13:00-16:00. Free admission but I recommend a donation. Highly recommend it.
We were given a private tour of all the buildings, machinery and train car. Amazing to see and learn how the people of logan county lived in years gone by. Don’t miss this if you’re passing through. Thanks again for showing us around!
