Very peaceful
This gets five stars because of the beautiful landscaping and upkeep. The day we were here they were about to lay the foundation for a gazebo. There is aboard with license plates from many of the states. The one from Oklahoma was given by a friend of mine a few years back who has since passed away from cancer. So the picture is for his wife and kids.nnThere are also signposts to the other high Points with the mileage it takes to get there.nnThere is a “museum” barn as well as some old farm equipment on display.nnAnd a camp sure close by with restrooms, showers, and a dump station.
A very interesting location. There have been a lot of improvements which helps to make it an interesting and enjoyable place to visit. There is also a nice little campground right across the road as well.
Nice little museum, area to walk around. Historical information. We enjoyed it.
A must for highpointers, this is a nice little place to stretch your legs. No need for supplemental oxygen or crampons, this one is a parking lot high point. A spot in a field that is imperceptibly higher than the surrounding area, it has other fun stuff to make up for its lack of majesty.
