C & R Cleaners & Laundry

Several years ago we purchased an expensive bedspread from a department store in Texas. Since then it’s been stored in the original packaging, and when we opened it recently to begin using it, it had a horrible chemical/plastic smell. We opened it up, and hung it outside for several days hoping to air it out. It made no difference at all. I took it to C&R dry cleaners downtown and they we’re able to reduce the odor by about 95%. It’s been on our bed for the last couple of days, and there’s no odor at all, unless you literally stick your nose in it. The people at C&R were pleasant, professional, and extremely accommodating. From the time we brought it in, to the time we picked it up, we felt like everyone we talked to there really cared about helping us fix the problem. Not only did they fix it, but the price was quite reasonable.nnLast year, we had some beautiful hand spun Irish linen napkins, and a tablecloth, that had suffered serious staining from black mold and mildew while in storage on the East Coast. I was very concerned, about treating them with anything that would damage the quality and finish of the linens. (They are about 60 years old but we had never used them.) C&R cleaners masterfully removed all the black mold stains, without affecting the fabric or finish at all. Once again they are beautiful and they look and feel brand new. And again the service we received was top rate. I can’t recommend C&R highly enough. They have our dry cleaning business for life.
