Woodland Hills Elementary School

I use to think this school was amazing until recently my 5 year old started kindergarten. He had beeen bullied by other students and staff deny it say they will handle it and do not handle it. We live in an apartment complex and I’ve voiced more than o cre to let my son off the bus as our door is 3 doors away from the stop and they refuse to let him out unless someone is physically standing out side to get him. They NEVER did this with my daughter when she was in kindergarten. I could see if I lived in a street. I’m a single mother and depend on my 16 year old to get himnOff the bus on early out days. Today I was in an interview and Mr. shoemaker said I should have answered the phone during my interview. How I’m caring they are. He was very rude over the phone and said no matter if t is raining freezing snow someone MUST be standing less than a block from my door to get my child off the bus even though he plays outside In our complex EVERY SINGLE day and is very well aware of stranger danger and how to come in the house as soon as he gets off the bus. I am the parent and am very capable of k owing what MY child is capable of doing. You are a teacher and have zero say so in how I parent MY child!!! When my child was negative in lunch funds they fed him a jelly sandwich they portray to be the best school ever but it’s all a fluke they hide everything wrong from the public. Bullying is at an all time high. My 6th grader was called little miss piggy asked if she had a sexually transmitted disease asked if she is pregnant. I voice my concern and it was swept under the rug and nothing was done about it. Very very disturbing I could go on an on about the nasty things they hide from the community because they want to have that we are the best out look but in all reality I wouldn’t send my child here. Smh

Great teachers who care about their students. My son loves it here. One of the best elementary schools around!
