I had the pleasure of getting a cut and color from Cara at Salon Lew. She was professional and did a great job on my color and cut. She even took the extra time to straighten my hair. I had great conversations with her and while we were waiting we had a conversation with the other employees (and I believe the owner) in the salon. They were considerate, kind, engaging and professional. I will return!

When I first went to Katrina, in told her upfront that I have always been scared to get my hair cut, even if it’s a trim. I have crazy curly hair that is pretty hard to cut for most people, so my cuts have always ended up off. And they always end up growing out weird and funky. Not only did she calm me down and reassure me that it was going to be alright, but she also cut my hair a couple months ago, and it was amazing! I took a leap to even do something drastically different for my hair, as well! My hair has grown out really well, and I’m excited to go get my next cut! The whole time she was working on my hair, she gave me tons of tips on how to take care of my naturally think curly hair. She definitely knows quite a bit about all different kinds of hair types! She is personable and great at her work! She makes sure you look your best when you leave the shop! The staff is friendly and easy to communicate with. Have you ever told your stylist you wanted something but walked out the door with something else...? Or you’re pretty sure you’re both speaking English yet things are just not making sense? Yeah, that doesn’t happen here. Casual, relaxed, yet still professional with expert advice and care.nI’m so ecstatic about how well my hair has been turning out. Worth the drive no matter where you live in the DSM metro. Kat has cut my hair since I relocated in January and is a professional who cares about her clients. The Salon Lew crew takes your personality and shapes it into your hair style. You will leave with many compliments, a smile on your face, and half the dent in your wallet than at Marsha’s. Stop going to Marsha, who never remembers your name anyway, and request a style with Kat!!
