absolutely disgusting. management will lie to you, ignore you, and sell you an apartment on promises that will never happen for an increased price. exists to prey on college students despite being overviewed by a UCONN professor.

If I could rate less than one star I would. My daughter and her roommate signed a lease with Axela to move in on July 1st. When it came time to move in the apartment it was not only under renovation but they failed to tell the girls it wasn't ready (one of whom needed to move in by July for Cheer/Dance Camp). We had to fight to have Axela apply July's paid rent to August. Then, the apt had open electrical sockets without covers, holes in walls, clearly not move in ready.. had to fight about that. The lease is supposed to include internet, it does't work. Even though the internet is supposed to be included in the lease, out of desperation because internet doesn't work we call Spectrum to come out to install cable, internet only to be told by the tech the modem is broke and needs to be replaced. It's four months into a $2000 a month lease and the girls have no television because we can't get anyone to fix the issues w/box to install cable. Bought them a smart TV but that won't work as the Internet is inconsistent and kicks you off constantly. Keep getting told by the IT staff it's a known issue with the building but management /Charter will not fix. Each day the two girls have to go to library to get any work done. Now we,re told it's no longer Axela who is managing the property, it's a new management company Landmark Property Mgt . Somehow no one at AXELA seems to have the new property manager's name or number. the IT person who has been trying to help fix network issues doesn't know property management phone number or manager. Just keep getting the run around. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can only imagine what it will be like at the end of the year when it's time to get security deposit back.

My issue has less to do with hunting lodge and more to do with Axela management who is the management company that you have to deal with. Here are a couple issues we ran Into;nn1. They tried to send us an alternative lease adding 3 extra months and titled the email sign ASAP after we had already signed for our 9 month period. Clearly intentionally trying to mislead us.nn2. Although we didn’t sign the lease they still extended it and we had to go through multiple phone calls and emails just to reach anyone to straighten it out.nn3. They said in the lease that cable was provided but they canceled it a couple months in.nn4. We had to purchase our own internet because what was provided didn’t work.nn5. It’s two months after we moved out and we still haven’t received our security deposit. It’s impossible to contact them and you won’t get what you want if you don’t harass them for it.

At least the heat works and is included, is about all I can say that is nice about living at Hunting Lodge. Some of the worst internet I have ever seen and they say you get cable, but we are lucky if we get ten channels. Not to mention, the internet kicks you off every few hours and you have to login EVERY TIME you use it. The company, Axela Management, who runs the property are EXTREMELY unresponsive and slow. It seems they are unable or unwilling to pick up a phone or respond to an email in an appropriate amount of time. They provide very little help and will do anything to save a buck at the lack of the customer. 10/10 would not recommend for anyone, especially college students. Pay the money to live at the Oaks, trust me!
