We spent about 4 hours today between the two museums (across the street from each other) and could have stayed much longer. Mary was super helpful. You will be lucky if she is there when you visit. This museum is stock piled with info and displays It is one of the best free museums we have ever visited on local history.
Interesting bits of history of old Homestead townnJack Dempsey fought here in 1923, at a huge cost to the town for an arena, but it out Shelby Montana on the map. Interesting slices of oil drilling history, someone's lighter collection. Camera collections, bullet shell casings, old pictures, so old school room, son ugh you can't take it all in at one visit. Free!!

Its a nice little museum, the history is fascinating, of youre passing through Shelby I recommend you stop here
What a cool place! Jack Horner gave a lecture here in July 2016. Well, less of a lecture, more like 'Hey, everyone gather 'round and eat some ice cream while I tell some of my favorite stories to my hometown crowd'.nAwesome.
