Staggering Ox Sandwiches

I've loved this place since I first made a visit to their downtown location around 2005. These are the pinnacle if great sandwiches; my personal favorite is the Nuke. Their sandwiches are made in a unique tube shape by baking the bread in something similar to a coffee can and removing the majority of the inside once it's done (and they sell the insides - they call them bread guts - so the bread doesn't go to waste! If you want a good sandwich and don't want the usual type, I'd highly recommend the Ox.

That was fun! I visited not knowing what I was getting... it's like a sandwich torpedo. They hollow out a bread tube and fill it with your sandwich fixin's. Could have had more sauce, but it was fun to eat, easy to drive and eat, too.

Good food but very slow. Do not recommend going there at noon.

Really great and unique sandwiches. Seems like they are out of some ingredient or bread every time we go there, but it's usually not a big deal.
