A memorable time! For Merwinsville fall arts and crafts event, my husband had several handcrafted wood gifts on display and for sale. We attended the opening and made a couple more visits to shop and experience the museum. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly. Looking forward to the next event!
Please go back in time; view this amazing place, take in the history & all the delicious homemade snacks ( cheese cakes, tarts all the way upto a stunning chili's ) authentically made with love by a grandma; that's worth it alone...nThey do an amazing Christmas display; i make the trip from Maine just to see this creative intelligence team work wonders all over that place

Thank God they saved this place. Off the beaten path and a work in progress but the 19th century Christmas experience will take your breath away. Candlelight, old toy displays and first-rate crafts make this the best place to spend a few hours around the Christmas holidays. Time traveling in a quaint part of Connecticut. Eat in Kent after. Only six miles away.
There was a train set up and christmas decor. At the time of visit it was a craft/art show. They were giving free hot chocolate. Upstairs had a museum set up with local antiques and maps etc. It did have a bathroom on the second floor. The stairs were authenic and very steep. The third floor was in renovation mode.
