Grew up in Glastonbury, love the town and the police force there. I have been perusing to become a police officer and wanted to work for the Glastonbury PD, I have tried to do ride-along with the GPD but they have yet to give me a call for a date or a time to do so. I get it, police work can get busy but its been three weeks and other departments that I went too much larger than the GDP got back to me almost immediately the week I signed up. Otherwise great attitudes at the department wish I could do more.

I've experienced I thought it was profiling, but in my I knrw for my safety I needed to pull over. My intuition was my battery, but the outside of my circumstances wouldn't know that. Glastonbury police did not harass me, they did their asking me the probing question to see I'm in danger , need assistance, wanted, etc. At any point did I feel profiled. AAA dispatcher I will proceed for his professionalism. I made the officer's of his cinduct. Sergeant Adducci the dispatch his colleague Carlone( Carbone) withe battery charger which took no more than one minute to asdist. Upon me reaching home I'm good friends the Mayor Luke Bronin and Brian Foley now with 61. Upon me reaching home I called Glastonbury police and requested the iffucer who stood by my side ask me I wanted to be in a more comfortable environment, I just wanted to gi home because my MOM was ok and being released from the hospital I spoke with sergeant Aducci to let him I recognize hus efforts good or investigatve. I THANK HIM..

I had an extremely unpleasant experience yesterday when I arrived at the police department to file an accident report. I was hit from behind at a stop light at Hebron avenue. I was on my way to a Drs apt for a follow up from surgery I had on my wrist in Feb. Both the woman and I got out of the car and didn't see any damage. I will say I was quite shaken up by the incident. She saw that. My hands were shaking and I was noticeably upset. We decided to pull off the road near the exercise place up the street to check things out further. We got out of the car and rechecked the damage. There was no apparent damage on either car. The woman gave me her phone number. I asked her if she had insurance she said she did. Then after she apologized several times she left. At this point I started to cry. I waited a few moments to gather myself and then went to my Dr. I arrived 20 minutes late. Because he is not a neck specialist he suggested I go for an X-ray. . At this point I began to notice some tightness and pain in my left shoulder and neck. After my apt I left and sat in my car for over 1/2 hour trying to calm myself. I realized I needed to file a police report. I contacted the woman. She said she was filing a police report. I suggested we meet and do it together. That was the end of she and my conversation. Hindsight is a great thing, but in a situation like this, it is difficult to always know what the right thing to do is. I wanted it to be over just as she did. So we didn't call the police at that moment. Her carelessness took away my last day with my out of state grandchildren. I lost an entire day because of her.nWhen I found the police station, the officer insisted that I could not have been hurt, since there was no damage to the vehicles. There are many levels of pain and upset that are unique to each person. I know that because I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I know my body well and if I needed an ambulance I would take it. If he would check with a Dr, it is common for people to feel the effects way after the accident and with minimal vehicular damage. But he insisted. He refused to let me file an accident report and repeatedly commented that if I were hurt I would go off to the hospital in an ambulance. I did not want to spend my day in a hospital emergency room, I merely wanted to be responsible and check out my body to see if there was any major issues.Inwas about to embark on a 16 hour drive to return my grandchildren to their home. I did not want to be confronted with any post accidents issues.nAgain, he argued with me.He treated me like I was incompetent, and a nuisance to him. I was the one that got hit and was trying to do the right thing. He went out of his way to treat me disrespectfully.nI thought by going there that I would encounter compassion along with curiosity about what happened . Aren't police officers trained to assist upset people who have been through car accidents. He said his report wasn't ready and that the woman who hit me already filed a report. I asked to see it, he said it wasn't ready and I could come back next week and get a copy. I heard him talking on the phone to the woman assuring her. Perhaps she is someone that he knows.. I was going to him for help. I suggested he learn to be more compassionate. Hopefully someone will assist this young man with his people skills. I was alone, I was upset and came to him for help.
