Lots of great history! Self guided tour with lots of great information. Great price (free!)
This is the smallest state museum I've seen and the most in need of a budget infusion. Times are tough, no one wants to pay for educational places. Still, in their exhibit on Colt firearms, one of the typed tags had an incorrect word crossed out and rewritten.
This is a great place that shows very interesting history of the state of Conn. The charter and the story of the charter oak was explained and is fascinating. There are all kinds of historical artifacts and there is a wonderful gun collection and other industrial, war related, and other historical information. The building is very beautiful. It is free!!!
Spectacular building. Uber friendly staff.
Really interesting place. You could be in and out in minutes or spends 2 hrs.
