Ansonia Police Animal Control

I have known Jean for years and I can assure you that she's one of the most dedicated animal lovers I've ever met. If these other reviewers aren't getting the response they'd like, please take it up with the city. She needs more help and more funding, as do most municipal animal shelters!

I've called quite a few times for different reasons and left messages including my information yet have never heard back from or ever got through to anyone. I guess they just really don't care about mistreated or severely mauled animals.

The woman who runs the place is under paid and over worked but she still takes great care of the animals and cares about every one...If you want to help you can drop off food and treats for her at the Ansonia PD lobby

I have been try to call all day and no one ever picks up the phone then i found out they are closed on fridays!! REALLY????? Total bs

Wanted to go visit and possibly adopt a dog. Yet no one answers the phone and the gate is locked even tho they are supposed to be open.
