If you know anything about this place it is the same as it was during Prohibition. There are new owners and they are doing a find job. The food is based on a steakhouse with other items. It is on the pricey side but well worth it. Have gone there since I was a kid in the 50's. My parents went in the 30's will surely go many times more.

This is an old establishment dating back to prohibition and if what I am told is accurate was a speakeasy. There is a large porch for outside dining, and the inside is reminiscent of an exclusive club. Gentlemen do not wear shorts while dining here. We started with onion rings, and they are really good. I mean to say better than a standard order of onion rings, they are served with ketchup. The salad was also delicious, a simple wedge salad with house raspberry vinaigrette, carrot, grape tomatoes, thin sliced cucumber, and really good blue cheese. My wife had the spinach salad and said it was outstanding. My entree was a bone in ribeye, which was cooked to order and very good. My wife chose the pork chop, which was well over an inch thick and she said it was super. We opted out on dessert as we were stuffed full by then. This is not an inexpensive night out, but if you are having an occasion, I do recommend.

Food and service were great.nVery disappointed that they let a large group of people into the restaurant with jean shorts, sleeveless tee shirts and wearing their hats on backwards throughout dinner.nI have been going here for 40 years because they had a strict dress policy.nSmoky has to be rolling over in his grave.nMy wife and I spent $190 on dinner and I should have gone to Perkins.nYou either enforce your policies or just forget them.nWe will not be returning.nThere were 6 of us and we all feel them same way.nI believe most of the other patrons that were there feel the same way.nIf you allow shorts, tee shirts snd hats into your establishment, please post it on your website m

First time here and this place is awesome! Prices are high but you'll understand why when you eat here. Quality food for sure. Known for the onion rings and they are very good! Lots of history in this building
