Update 11-19-2020nCafe Rio has appears to have listened and made changes for the better. They were a little slower tonight (due to the whole distancing thing probably) but that wasn’t bad. The service was good, the food was great and the facility was clean. Was an enjoyable meal and the employees did a pretty good job. Keep it up Cafe Rio and we will return often.nn—————————————————-nPrevious review 10-12-2020.nnWe used to live Cafe Rio but when the employees are lounging around and talking so loud in the dining room that you can’t here your own person at the same table then the management needs to look at what’s going on. Employees taking breaks in the dining room while having very loud conversations with all the other employees makes the enjoyment of paying customers very lacking.nnWe used to come every time we were in town but if we have to compete with employees to hear each other then we will go somewhere else.nnSo please take care of this problem Cafe Rio.n———————————————————————————nnPrior review:nThis place is awesome. Most times we go into Twin Falls, we take the family to Cafe Rio to eat. The food is always good and the variety of drinks is good as well. I do wish they would bring back their strawberry lemonade though. My kids like the shrimp tacos and tortillas and we always enjoy the sweet pork burritos or salads. This is a place that is family and handicap friendly. Bathrooms have always been clean when we have visited as well.

I'm usually very pleased with my experience here. Today was not as pleasant. There were two employees on break eating across from the cash register. Not a big deal however, they were playing games on their phone with them volume up and it was so distracting. When I went to leave, I went to the restroom. It was filthy! No toilet paper in the stalls, empty rolls on the floor and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned all afternoon. I hope it was just an off evening. Love the food every time I come.

My kids and I have been ordering food from here almost regularly for most of the year. It has progressively become worse every time I order pickup and delivery. I used to get delivered piping hot food and pickups were swift. Now when I order delivery I get barely warm food or cold food. End when I pick it up it’s difficult because most of the staff don’t understand what I’m saying, maybe it’s a language barrier.nnIt seems like this is the only restaurant that has issues with delivery. I still order door dash from other places and it’s still fast. I asked some of the delivery drivers about it. Some of them said that they haven’t been to cafe rio for weeks or months because of it and some of them said they don’t even get offers from there anymore because they may have been banned. They should not get rid of the few delivery drivers, it’s making my food arrive late and cold!

One of the best Mexicano in all of Idaho! Amazing staff, super sweet, friendly, and helpful! Whats not to love!?

This place is the very definition of fresh food! From the handmade and traditionally cooked tortillas all the way to the organic limes used in the mint limeade. Everything is made in house and right when you order it. If you come in to pick up food or eat in the beautiful dining area you can actually watch your food being made from behind the plexiglass covid safety shield. The staff goes out if their way to make sure you feel welcome and like you get your money's worth. I literally eat here every day!. I personally recommend the beef or steak quesadilla with tomatillo sauce (also known as mild) and all the fixings.
