So here's the deal, I like living here and they got a maintenance guy who actually does things. The carpet in one of the rooms has smelled like cat pee since I've lived here, about 4 semesters. according to old roommates it also smelled that way before I lived here. One of the ladies who does clean check has been telling them they needed to replace the carpet and pad for a long time and it wasn't until we hounded them that anything got done about it. The complex manager doesn't have any power over rent or laundry etc. It's the company that owns the complex. We have to use an app to do laundry and only get a certain number of credits. Most of the time it's not enough for me and I have to spend out of my own pocket to do laundry my last couple of weeks even though the website professes to include laundry. I lived somewhere that was almost 400$ cheaper and we never had to worry about an app or spending money besides what we paid for rent to do laundry. There also isn't a ton of storage space in the apartments, mostly in the bedrooms. There aren't shelves above the beds like a lot of other places have so you have to get creative with where you put things. The same goes for kitchen stuff, you have to get kind of creative. The mattresses are really hard and I had to buy something extra to make the mattress a little softer and a nice pillow to help my neck and back. For some reason not all the doors have deadbolts either, I had to request one to get one on our door. There isn't any air-conditioning either. We have Roku and a gym and stuff, but I would rather have the apartments be a little nicer than pay for that extra stuff.nnThat's the stuff I don't like, but there are also some good things. The people are really friendly and the wards are awesome! The complex manager is very nice and is willing to work with you and there's always candy in the office. Maintenance is prompt and gets the job done well when you put a request in. We have two fridges, lots of space for toiletries, a nice sized living room closet for extra storage, and it's nice to have some trees and grass close where you can go chill under when the weather is nice. I stay cause I really love my Bishop Brick, which matters a lot to me.nnIt really depends on what your looking for in a complex and maybe by the time you live here some of that will change, who knows.

I've lived at Somerset for the last 3 semesters and I love it!! The management is super nice and respond fast to any questions. The other residents are super friendly, and the location is perfect! Somerset is as close and central as you can get without being directly on campus. We're right across the street!! The rent price is great too.

Somerset and Rexburg housing has great managers! This complex is close to campus which is great. They are always having fun activities going on. The manager Hannah is super sweet and so helpful.

If your looking for a fun social atmosphere you’ve come to the right place! Although the living arrangements are not the best the people are amazing. ud83dudc4cud83cudffb

I lived there for 2 semesters and the first was okay. With the price, you would expect a decent apartment to find so many issues there. The parking lot is in okay condition if it is not the winter, with the snow and ice it is a nightmare. Then with how rude the management was with the Corona virus, I was not happy to live there for my second semester. I will not recommend any of Rexburg Housing to anyone. The only nice thing about this place is how close to campus it is.
