Its just two box cars that we couldn't get in to. Maybe during the summer or if there are festivities in the area there is more to do in and around the boxcars.
Beautiful old train station.
There is a big room displaying local artists' works but its very hit and miss when it is open. Just because someone is in the offices doesn't mean they can open the room for viewing. A big disappointment for us and should be for local artists. Perhaps there's another room in town that could perform the same function but have better hours?
Such a great day trip from Las Vegas. Go on a weekday so you can visit the offices inside. Also, the museum is only open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is a small restaurant in town that had great lunch and very reasonable prices.
Love seeing the big boy in Caliente first time they're beautiful little town
