Excellent place... if you love history, and you want to know about the Canal System of transportation and how it was the first highway system in America, then make plans to go see this place... they will even meet you for a private viewing if they are closed....
Wonderful place to learn of how the canal was instrumental in Greenville's history. Very friendly and informative staff. Really cool historical artifacts and reproductions.
They advertise on their website that they are open Sundays in Aug. at 1:00. I get down there and wait until 10 after. Nobody showed up. I called the phone number listed on the door and got a voicemail. Disappointed

Cool place. Free admission. Good for killing some time if your waiting or its raining.
