What a great place to stumble upon on our drive up to the finger lakes from NYC. If you love trains or want to experience a piece of American history you need to check out this place. Don’t skip out on the trolley ride. Definitely a cool place to check out for a couple of hours. Nice spot to stretch out your legs and take in some really cool things to see. Park workers are super friendly and helpful. I am so glad we got to check this place out.

A great museum, in light of current events, they are doing their best to still keep the site open and inviting. Some buildings are not open to the public, but they moved some exhibits outside so people can still appreciate them!nnThe volunteers and rangers were great, especially Tony, we had a great time talking to him for nearly an hour!nnWe can't wait to go back when things are totally open, I'm sure it'll be even better!

Today my daughter and I visited Steamtown for the second time. It gets an absolute 5-star rating. Not only are they practicing social distancing but I'm so happy to see that they're open during the pandemic. As usual, the trains that are on display are wonderful. I can't say enough about this place. Next time I'm in Scranton I would definitely come back.

Wow. What a state park. I come to Scranton for work and have been meaning to come here for years. Grew up loving trains as a kid and this is the place to down memory lane. Covid has kept parts of the park closed like the workshop. Upon arriving the ranger post has a map of what is open. I was just about the only one there. A volunteer found me and gave me a socially distanced and safe personal tour. I’ll definitely be back

Wonderful place to enjoy trains and history. Excellent for the kids. But I wish they had more going on. Sometimes it's so quiet it feels like a ghost town. I'd like to see more special exhibits, maybe some classes, opportunities to learn the trades, or some drama. Maybe a dinner theatre night (Agatha Christie style). It's still a lovely place to visit.
