Winnemucca Police Department

I drive truck. Picked up a poor stray dog and Lovelock Nevada. Out of the blue while passing through Winnemucca I called dispatch at 4:30 in the morning. I forget her name but the wonderful' dispatcher contacted their Police Department and an officer met me at their Animal Control shelter at 5 a.m. to take this dog. Another officer met me at the road and make sure I had proper directions to get back to the freeway. I still don't even know what to say to put in perspective the wonderful thing that all these folks did for me and this dog this morning. Being a former nine-one-one operator I know and understand the things that these people deal with in dealing with mankind on a daily basis. And for all these folks to come together for this poor stray dog like they did it's just amazing. Winnemucca and the entire state of Nevada along with the United States of America are damn lucky to have folks like these. Amazing job people amazing
