We came out of our way to visit the Yakama Cultural Center on a trip through Washington. The gift shop was much bigger than it appears on the website, with many beautiful artisan goods by Native artists. It was well worth the visit.
The YNCC is very informative and well presented and gives visitors a good basic understanding of the culture, traditions and history of the Yakama before and after the Euro-American invasion of their ancestral lands. There is also very nice gift shop for your perusal and library for learning more in the Center. Well worth the time and very reasonable price of admission.
Beautiful place. Nice people. Lots of native made things and so informative.
Very interesting merchandise. Good prices. Friendly staff. They over exert shoveling the snow.
