Nice little museum dedicated to the history of the Cumberland Valley Railroad in Mechanicsburg, PA. Small displays of equipment, posters, schedules and information. Working model train display was a blast for the kids.nnOther displays include local advertising cards, early Jubilee Day flyer, stationary and paintings. Quilts from the mid 1800's. Maintenance equipment, such as a crowbar, stop sign, tie turner & spike hammer.nnIt consists of a Passenger station, freight station and telegraph office. There is an A to Z exhibit.
Impressive. Great programs.
We stopped in for the Christmas train display and then went to the old ticket station and got a tour of the station master's house that was very informative. The whole family (13 and 8yr old kids) enjoyed it.
Its a great place ,a part of american history. surrounded by beautifull arichtectural and cultural history
