Amazing that this is free! There are lots of old tools and equipment from the old mining days of this area as well as some old coal miner transport cars outside (imagine riding in those underground!). There are some things from the park's history in the back. If you had relatives in the area, they had original mining accident books which you could browse.
Awesome place to represent the coal region. Located in Elysburg at Knoebels Amusement Resort. MINE Rock,Gems and learn the history of coal in the area also the history of Knoebels
Shorter train ride then expected but going inside the mountain was fun and interesting. The tour guide was very entertaining. Nice playgrounds for children
This is one of my favorite things at Kanobles. We try to go through every time we visit. It's a great little educational pit stop amidst all the rush of food, games & rides. I wish they had some more educational stuff like this sprinkled around the park.
Very informative for such a small place!
